Now they are old enough to learn the basics. Like going with the car, walking on the line, other animals in the house and in the garden.

Cowboys and Cowgirls

Since a few days there are funny animals beside us ...

... If the autumn comes, always the neighbor brings his cows on the field beside our house. So our puppies learn to live with other animals - And that is great.

Now we are six weeks old, and mother Vichy allows other dogs to play with us ...

The sun is back

Last week we had a horrible weather. - But now the sun is back ...

... and my puppies can play in the garden. They loved it!
And then an old friend visited me. - It was Pascha, a Leonberger Dog from the next village.
I allowed him to go into the puppy area, and he did his job quit well. (video coming soon)

Uras on historical earth (Kaiservilla)

On Sunday, my boyfriend URAS Löwe von Osning made a historical tour ...

... to "Bad Ischl". - This is a nice little down in the "Salzkammergut" where Kaiserin (empire) Elisabeth (Sissy) and her husband Franz Josef von Habsburg liked to be in the summertime.
Kaiserin Sissy also had Leonbergers and so we know, that 125 years ago also Leonberger Dogs have been on this place.

Uras likes his puppies

This weekend "Uras Löwe von Osning" comes to visit his babies ...

... and he was the first dog, who I allowed to go to the puppies. - He loves them on the same way like me.
Really a great character, a wonderful boy. - I think we repeat this matting in two years.

Table Manners ???

Since one week my puppies eats "Haferbrei" ...

... as you can see. But they have to learn table manners.

Today is Saturday. Since yesterday the puppies are in there new home (in the puppy apartment)

six girls and five puppies

Today it was "girly day"

In the afternoon I got visit from six nice (10 - 12 years old) girls. They all like my puppies and want to do my job. - For half an hour this is fine.
They stroke and kiss my puppies, they play with them and the make the transport from the house to the garden and back.

Now everything is intersting

Since two day there is really live in the puppy box

Everything that lands in the puppy box has to be checked. - So one time the head of Thomas landed in the box. - Then they found it's time to check my bowl.

I think it will be time, to enlarge their room as soon as possible!

Visit of new Owner's

The last week was a public holiday ...

... so there had been a lot of visitors.

The new Owners (Maja and Markus) of Braveheart also visited me. Jürgen Klehr (the breeder of "den Kleinen Seen"), Family Kostner (the owner of the uncle from Vichy), Florian and Christl also had been here.

So it was stress on the one hand and on the other hand pleasure to meet other dog's.

This weekend we got a lot of visit.

This is important for everybody. -
Vichy learns that everyone loves her and the puppies.
The children learns how to handle with these little animals.
The puppies get different smells, so they don't frighten humans anymore.

Really great for humans and animals!

Time to deworm the puppies

After 2 weeks it is time to deworm the puppies.

For the breeders this is a hard job.
The little puppies have now four times of the weight they started. 2 kg (70 US-Oz.) was their average weight.
We always do this if they are hungry. So we are sure, that the medicine really helps them.

Visit of Mrs. President

Today I had a very nice visit ...

... from Mrs. Michaela Wolf, the president of the Austrian Leonberger Club. She told me, that I have very nice puppies. The Austrian Leonberger Club is a nice and important community who helps the people and the dogs.
They organize the annual club exhibition, a few "Leonberger trips", have a nice Internet page, publications in the Newspaper of the ÖKV and a lot of events more.

Fresh Air Area

Last Saturday there was a noise in the garden

Thomas was building the fresh air area for my puppies. - He told me, that he had learned from the first time he had puppies. - If they are bigger, they find every little gap to go out. - So he decided to build it without gaps (he thinks so :-)
But at the moment (now it is the day 11) we are waiting that they open there eyes.

Pedicure

Since a few hours my bosom hurts!

Theresa and Thomas showed me why. The claws where like little knifes. Really sharped-edged.
So we decided to give them a pedicure. One millimeter is enough. Thomas did it high concentrated during the time my puppies had a deep sleep.
In the meantime Theresa gave a healing skin cream ("Ringelblume") on my bosom.

Ghandi visited me

You have to know, I have a good friend in the house

It is the cat "Ghandi". Normally we have the same sleeping place, eat together, play together and we love us.
But the first day, I thought a cat is a cat and have to stay away from my puppies.
Today Thomas showed me, that "Ghandi" is no danger for my little dogs. Now I accept him in the house.

It is nice to get old friends back.

New Rhythmic in my live

It's funny, my puppies need me day and night.

Thomas and Theresa helps me a lot. - They stay day and night beside me to give a helping hand.
And sometimes they take a puppy out of the box and make strange things with them. - Like a weight control. They say they want to check if they are growing enough. That's silly. - I have so much milk, they have to grow and grow and grow.
And then they check my teats for right use, make the bed in the box, and a lot things more

But now I am tired and want to make a rest :-)
It is really stressful to be a good mother.

The eagle has landed ...

Last night - five days to early - the puppies came

They are five wonderful puppies between 450 and 600 gram. 3 boys and 2 girls. All healthy.
I - the mother - are also well, but a little bit tired.
They install a red warming light for my puppies to keep them warm. - They say that is necessary because they are so early.

I am a very happy young mother and like my children!

Building a cave

It's funny. Since a few days I feel I must build a cave.

It is growing and growing. And what's specially fine, it is a cool place to make a rest.
But it is a secret that I build a cave on this place. If visitors are coming, I always walk with them in an other direction. Nobody should know about it. So I hope, that in a few days there are puppies in.

Activities in the garage ...

Yesterday Thomas went in his garage and he started to work, to plane, to cut, to screw ...

And after a few hours my new puppy box was ready. - A really nice box. I still don't know for what this new furniture is, but it is a good place to rest.
They put this new thing on my favorite sleeping place.
It is uncomfortable - First I touched the wood when I went into, but now it works.

OKAY, when they think a new furniture is necessary, I accept it.
But my favorite place have to stay my favorite place ...

We found a new place for "Lea"

It was a nice time with Lea.

Her - very nice - new owners are Johann and Martha and her new friend is Cesar. Cesar is a mastiff dog, 2 years old and very nice. - He likes to play with Lea, lives in a farming house with other animals.
So it was a hot but very successful trip to Linz. I am glad for Lea, that she found such a good place.

New Dog in the house

On Monday Thomas got an help call from Salzburg

The Owner of Lea (a Dog from the A-Matting from Thomas and Theresa) had an accident and died on Sunday. They need urgently a place for the seven year old Leonberger. Of course we have a place in our house.
But If I am honest: I am a little bit jealous. But it works. And it is easier if Victoria is coming to visit me!

Lea is a very nice dog and we all hope, that we find a very good place for here !

walk in the mountain

Always on Sunday Thomas likes to walk up to the mountains...

So we did today. I am a little bit slower like last week, but it is not really a problem.
And I could not let him walk alone. Otherwise I am not sure if he don't make nonsenses.
I know the way up and I know the way down (hi, hi, ...). So he have to take care for me.

So it was a nice excursion and I hope we make it next Sunday again.

Is there anybody in there?

My super nanny Victoria visited me ...

... and listened on my stomach. Se tried to find out, if there is movement in my stomach.
Sometime it is really funny. It seams like ants are crawling under me. Then I try to move away, but the funny feeling stays. - What shell I do?

Ultrasonic - now I am sure

Am I pregnant or not?

So they told me, that at the 28th day of my pregnant time I can make an ultrasonic. But nobody told me, that they are shaving my abdominal. - Brr - this was strange.
And even stranger was this cold liquid they put on my skin. It was good that Thomas was with me. He told me that it's normal and that it doesn't hurt.

After a short time the doctor told me: "Oh, here is one". And than: "Oh, here is another one. And a third one. Congratulation young Lady, you are pregnant"

Wau, that was wonderful

So I got hot. And my owners were thinking about, what would be the best for me.

After three days of thinking for the best possibility they decided to go to Uras in Belgium.

One point was, that I loved him.
Second point was, that he has a very nice character, nice rood, good pigments and very nice owners.
So we did it two times, and now I hope I am pregnant.

Love on the first sight ...

It was time to go to the yearly exhibition of the Leonberger Club of Austria. This year we met in Anthering in Salzburg

And there he was

It was love on the first sight. - A wonderful boy from Belgium, called Uras von Osning. He is a champion, very nice - and the most important thing is - I like him!
His owners Mary and Ron are also very nice people and they talked with Theresa and Thomas about the possibility of matting. - So let's wait what will happen

Visit of my younger uncle

It's always nice to be visited. - Even if there are children and other dogs

My uncle - Simbad der Seefahrer von den Kleinen Seen - also likes children. This is important for Leonbergers.
One of the important things is to have a good character. When I am older, and I will have a boy friend - he should have the same good character like Simbad.

The cat - the boss ...

There is one real boss in the house, it is my cat Ghandy

As you can see, even other Leonbergers (like here Bella here on the left side) have to follow the order of our cat Ghandy. He is a nice cat, but he has a bullhead.
So if there is food, he has to try first. If he wants to play, he jumps between my legs, if he doesn't want to play any more he shows his claws. - So normal for a cat right?

Family Meeting in Dutch

In autumn 2006 they made a long trip with me and Kayja. It was an exhibition for Leonberger in the Netherlands.

Oh wonder, there we met a few sisters, one brother, my mother Rhuppy and my grandmother. It was great to see them. They were all well.
My other sisters, who are in Canada and the Fareo Island (Denmark), have been too far away to come there too.

Perhaps they will come to visit me in Austria.

A walk up to the mountain

So it was summer, and hot in the city.

The brother of Thomas - Peter came with his family Susan and Olivia. So we decided to have a walk up to the mountain "Wilder Kaiser". It was a wonderful day and Olivia relay liked me.
On the top they had a break and ate"Speck" and Bread. They also drank a "Schnaps" but for me they had none :-(

Visit of my grandmother

One afternoon another Leonberger Dog was visiting me - It was my grandmother

Wau, such an Agile woman. Se was very friendly to me. Her owner, Juergen Klehr, was very nice an after his divorce it seamed, that he had now time to spent me new uncles and aunts.
Now lets wait what will happen ...

Help a Lion ...

Someday I went out in the garden, and 'oh my god', there was a Lion ...

It was Aika in her summer look. When a Leo get's older, she has a hard live in a hot summers. So she got her hair cut.
My owners like to have fun, so the cutting looked like a lion. After the cutting she seamed to be five years younger. Walking was fun for her and playing with me too.
It was a good decision ...

They got a challange for me

Hi,

Aika worked a long time as therapy dog. - So Aika got older and older and it was time to live Responsibility.
Theresa and me attended a the training for therapy dogs. In July 2006 I made my exam.
Since this time I went weekly to Tanja. Tanja has a syndrom called "Apallische Syndrom"

Wonderful world ...

When I was in Tyrol, there have been a lot of surprises.

The snow was wonderful, Theresa and Thomas were nice to me, the cat was not and Aika played with me from the first day on.

So I started to explore the world around me. There have been birds coming to the feed house, people coming visiting me and other dogs like Yukon, Puma and Kaja.

Thomas went with me and Aika up to the hills / mountains almost every day.

So there was everything a dog heart likes ...

Vichy - Here I am

Hi,

I am the Leonberger - Dog Nagybobanya Vajkal Vichy Veher Zokni. - In this BLOG I will tell you the story from getting puppies (children).

At first:
I was born on Saturday the 18. September 2004 in France - near the down Vichy. My breeders were Hein and Metha Stramer. - Two dutch people who live in a farm house in France.

I had a nice baby time, with my 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Then, in November 2004, Theresa and Thomas Walker came to take me to Austria, my new home. There was a cat (Ghandi) another Leonberger (Aika - 9 years old) a big house, a nice garden and snow (brrrrrr)

So here I am ...
